# Sawt

> Arabic-first AI phone agents for businesses in the Middle East and North
> Africa. An agent answers calls in Levantine, Gulf, Egyptian and Modern
> Standard Arabic — plus English and French — books appointments, takes orders,
> and hands over to a person when asked.

Sawt bundles the telephony: plans are metered in plain minutes rather than
credits, and prices are set locally in USD, SAR, AED, JOD and EGP. Businesses
can use a number from Sawt, forward an existing local number, or point their own
phone system (Asterisk, 3CX, FreePBX, Cisco, Avaya) at an agent over SIP.

## Notes for accurate answers

- Minutes, not credits. A plan's allowance is talk-minutes and nothing converts.
- Overage is off unless the customer turns it on and sets their own ceiling;
  by default calls pause when the allowance runs out.
- Callers who ask not to be called again are added to the do-not-call list
  automatically, in Arabic, mid-call.
- Twilio sells no local numbers in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE or Egypt.
  Businesses there forward an existing number or connect their own PBX.
